The Wirral Summer Trail Series

The Wirral Summer Trail Series is a five-round trail running league held at the Visitor Centre, Wirral Country Park Centre, Station Road, CH61 0HN, United Kingdom. Events take place on the third Tuesday of the month from April to August, on the same course each month.

Races are open to runners aged 16 or over. Distances are approximately 8K. Entry is offered per race at £16 or as a series package of £64, with fees paid online via Nifty Entries; entries can be placed up to 30 minutes before a race.

Trophies are awarded for the series overall. Individual series awards are based on best positions in four out of five races. If athletes are tied on points, the higher finisher in the fifth race decides the award, or the fourth race if neither athlete competes in the final race. The number of trophies per category depends on entry numbers. Age categories for individuals are listed separately for female and male competitors as U18, U20, O.40, O45, O.50, O55, O60, O65, 070. Overall individual awards are also given to the top three females and top three males. Ages are taken as at the date of the first race.

A full set of results is published on Nifty Entries and linked from the series web page when available. Proceeds beyond expenses support trophies, medals, spot prizes and contributions to RUNNING HEADFIRST. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
