Event Overview
The Tuckahoe 25k is a trail running event held in Queen Anne, Maryland. Organized by Algonquin Ultras Inc. in partnership with the Centreville Crushers Running Club, the race is scheduled for late November. This event focuses on trail running through a mix of single-track paths and wider horse trails.
Course Information
The course covers a distance of 25 km (approximately 15.5 miles). The terrain is described as not overly technical or rocky, though participants should expect runnable hills along with some rooty and muddy sections. The race takes place regardless of weather conditions, including rain, snow, or sleet. Participants are required to stay on the established course at all times, and littering is strictly prohibited to preserve the local environment.
Support and Regulations
There are three fully stocked aid stations located along the route. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and a variety of sweet and salty food options. For safety and logistics, the following rules apply:
- 25 km race distance
- No pacers or crews are permitted on the course
- Dogs are not allowed to accompany runners
- Bib numbers must remain visible throughout the event
- Participants who drop out must return their bib to a crew member
Awards and Community
The event recognizes the top three male and top three female finishers with awards. All participants receive race swag. The race is part of a community-driven, nonprofit series dedicated to the promotion and preservation of trails across the Delmarva region.
