The Reckoning : TOPEC, Burgess Park, New Plymouth
The Reckoning is a trail running event set on the forest trails around Lake Mangamahoe in New Plymouth, Taranaki. The course includes winding singletrack, varied terrain, punchy climbs and viewpoints that include views of Taranaki Maunga.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 10 km
- 21 km
- 35 km
The 10 km route uses rolling forest trails with short climbs and is presented as an entry-distance for those new to trails. The 21 km course increases distance and climbing, featuring changing terrain and longer trail time. The 35 km option covers extended trails and climbs, requiring endurance and steady effort over a longer distance.
Registration stages and pricing are listed for each distance, including launch-special, standard and late pricing windows. Pricing examples include NZ$55 for the 10 km, NZ$105 for the 21 km and NZ$150 for the 35 km as launch or base figures shown in standard event materials.
