The Rasselbock 545 - 2027

The Rasselbock 545 is a timed track event at Horspath Athletics Track offering multi-hour running challenges on a 400 metre track. Participants choose from several fixed-duration challenges and run laps around the track for their selected time.

The event includes the following duration options:

  • 6 hour challenge
  • 12 hour challenge
  • 24 hour challenge
  • 48 hour challenge

A target of 545 laps is highlighted for this edition; the previous record was 505 laps recorded in 2025. A cash prize of £100 is eligible for the first person to pass 545 laps within the 24 hour race or within the first half of the 48 hour race. The event is described as both a mental and a physical test of endurance.

Organizers are investigating the possibility of having the event officiated by the International Association of Ultrarunners. Entry prices start from £39.50. The event takes place on a standard outdoor athletics track at Horspath Athletics Track and uses lap counting to determine distances covered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
