The Next Loop Endurance Series - Pinnacle Mountain
The Next Loop at Pinnacle Mountain State Park is a loop-based trail ultra that uses a central Start/Finish hub at the Big Maumelle Pavilion and the Coachwhip Trail system. The event runs on a repeatable loop course that is described as a 5K loop (about 3.5 miles) with runnable singletrack, rolling elevation, and wooded terrain.
Distances

- 50 Mile
- 50 Mile Night Challenge
- 100K
- 100 Mile
Every lap returns runners to a fully stocked aid station at the central hub. The aid station offers water, sports drink, chips, cookies, candy, pickles, salted potatoes, and late-night bacon. Energy gels, chews, and specialty nutrition are not provided, so runners should bring personal nutrition and electrolytes.
Chip timing records every completed lap and provides real-time pacing and progress. Crew access and personal gear staging are available at the pavilion or from vehicles. Pacers are permitted; all runners and pacers must carry water on the trail and use lights from dusk until dawn. Cutoffs are specified by challenge with differing maximum times for each distance.
Finisher recognition is issued for completed distances, with custom buckles for 100K and 100 Mile finishers and custom medals for other finishers. Every completed loop is recorded and reported as an official distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
