The Midwest Ultra Trail Classic
The Midwest Ultra Trail Classic is the inaugural trail running event at Knob Noster State Park in Knob Noster, Missouri, scheduled for 11/21/2026. The event uses the Opossum Hollow Trail as a technical single-track course that remains single-track from start to finish.
The course is a 10K loop with approximately 550 feet of elevation gain per loop. Terrain features include winding forest trails, rolling hills, exposed roots, rocks, and creek crossings. Each distance is completed by running the required number of 10K loops.
A fully stocked aid station is located at the Start/Finish area and is available every 10K. Runners may use personal coolers and leave gear at the Start/Finish area; no drop bags are necessary. Crew access is permitted only at the Start/Finish area and is not allowed on the course. The event is professionally timed, provides a race shirt with registration, and awards a finisher medal to all participants. Pacers are not allowed. The 50K distance carries a nine hour cutoff.
