The Maverick Suffolk Gravel

The Maverick Suffolk Gravel takes place on 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall, Woodbridge, within the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The event offers three off-road distance options and runs on woodland gravel and sandy trails that organisers describe as very flat.

Distances:

  • 9 km short route, +58 m elevation
  • 16 km middle route, +69 m elevation
  • 23 km half marathon route, +118 m elevation

Route details note mostly easy, flat trails through woodland. The middle route has two outposts at approximately 6 km and 11 km. The half marathon has two outposts at approximately 6 km and 18 km. There is no outpost on the short route. Outposts provide snacks, gels and electrolyte; organisers aim to keep outposts cup free so participants should carry a reusable cup or bottle.

Facilities listed for the event village include free parking, toilets at the start and finish area, fully marked and timed courses, online results, event photography, bag drop and food and drink availability. The event is dog friendly with a limited number of dog spaces and requires a dog to be added to an entry. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Organisers ask that all runners finish by 2pm, which equates to a four hour finish time.

Entry prices are shown as £25 for the short, £39 for the middle and £49 for the half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
