The Maverick Suffolk Gravel 2026
The Maverick Suffolk Gravel is an off-road trail running event on 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall, Wantisden Park, Fenn Row, Woodbridge, within the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The routes run through woodland trails and sandy sections and pass through areas that contain National Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
There are three distance options:
- 23 km, elevation gain +118 m
- 16 km, elevation gain +69 m
- 9 km, elevation gain +58 m
The course is described as very flat with easy trails. Outposts are provided as follows: none on the short route; two on the middle route (approx 6 km and 11 km); two on the half marathon (approx 6 km and 18 km). Outposts offer a range of sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte. Toilets are available at the start/finish only.
Event amenities listed include free parking, a fully marked course, full timing with online results, event photography, bag drop and a finishers medal. The organiser requests participants bring a reusable cup or bottle because outposts aim to be cup-free. Dog entries have sold out. Runners are asked to finish by 2 pm where possible, which equates to a four hour finish time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
