Maverick Cotswolds Trail 2027
The Maverick Cotswolds Trail is an off-road running event held at Sudeley Castle in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Routes run across sections of the Cotswold Way and Winchcombe Way and use established trails, bridleways, ridge lines and ancient woodland.
The course includes varied terrain with punchy climbs, steep ascents that may require power-hiking, fast descents and quiet stretches through villages and countryside. The event provides fully marked routes, precision fuel and hydration outposts with sweet and savoury snacks, timing and online results, event photography, bag drop and a metal finishers medal. Free parking is available at the venue.

- Marathon 42 km - +1175 m
- Half Marathon 23 km - +580 m
- Middle 11 km - +302 m
- Short 7 km - +97 m
The Half Marathon requires a minimum of 1 litre of water. The Marathon and 50 km Ultra require mandatory equipment including a waterproof jacket, mobile phone, at least 800 calories of food, minimum 1 litre of water, a foil blanket, whistle, self-adhering bandage, cap or buff, a reusable cup and a GPX of the route on a device. Cutoff times apply to the Ultra and Marathon routes. The event is dog friendly with a limited number of dog places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
