About the race
The Mangy Coyote 13 Hour Trail is a timed trail event at Trenton Park where participants choose their own distance within a 13 hour window. The looped course is expected to be approximately 4 to 6 km per loop, with about 40 to 60 metres of elevation change and a mix of gravel trails and technical singletrack. The precise loop distance is to be confirmed.
During the 13 hour period, runners may complete as many loops as they wish. There are no mandatory start times for each lap and no required pace or predetermined number of loops. Participants can run a single loop, multiple laps, or remain on course for the full event duration.
An aid station will be stocked with snacks, drinks and other essentials throughout the day; participants are encouraged to bring any specific items they prefer. A crew area near the start and finish allows tents for gear, food and support people.
Registration costs CA$85 plus tax and processing fees, and fees are non refundable. Registration includes event access, a fully stocked aid station and a finisher sticker. A portion of proceeds will support the Pictou County United Way.
Awards include prizes for Most Loops Completed for the top male and female runners and a Spirit of the Pack award for a participant who supports others and contributes positive energy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
