The Larix
The Larix is a trail running event at Baldy Mountain in Bridesville, British Columbia. This is the second edition, scheduled for October 3, 2026. The route begins just below the base area, climbs to the peak of Baldy Mountain, and finishes at the base in front of the main lodge.
Distances offered:
- 10 km trail route to the peak, about 600 m of elevation gain and loss.
- 21 km extended route using most Baldy trails, including a loop.
Course surfaces include single track, double track and open fields, with panoramic valley views along the way. There are two aid stations on course; one aid station is passed twice by runners in both distances. The 21 km includes a circle route that is run twice before continuing to the Sugarlump area. The event provides professional timing with a gun start and a finish line at the base.
