The Larix
The Larix is a trail running event held at 2680 Mount Baldy Road, Bridesville, BC, Canada, on October 3, 2026. The event follows trails around Baldy Mountain and is in its second season after an inaugural running in 2025.
Distances offered include:
- 10 km: from near the base area to Baldy Mountain peak, about 600 m elevation gain.
- 21 km: same start and climb, plus additional trails including single track and open fields.
The 10 km route climbs from the village base toward the summit and returns along the same main climb. The 21 km route follows the same initial climb, includes a circular section passed twice, and continues toward the Sugarlump area to cover almost every trail Baldy offers. The course combines single track, double track, and open field running with extended views.
There are two aid stations on course; one aid station is passed twice by both distances. The event uses professional timing with a gun start and a finish line located at the base area in front of the main lodge. Sponsors for the 2026 event include Bio Steel, Da Silva Winery, Backroads Brewing Co, Firehall Brewery, Good Protein, Abandoned Rail Brewing Co, and others.
