About the race
The Kingdom of Northumbria Coastal Ultra is an A-B trail event along the Northumberland coast, running from near Bamburgh Castle to Druridge Bay Country Park. The route passes coastal landmarks such as Beadnell Harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster Village and Warkworth Castle.
Start locations and finish
54km start: Car Park, Links Road, Bamburgh, NE69 7AX.
27km start: Boulmer Lifeboat Station, Beach View, Boulmer, NE66 3BN.
Finish: Druridge Bay Country Park, A1068, Red Row, Morpeth, NE61 5BX.

Logistics and support include a pre-event shuttle bus from the finish to the starts (runners must book this or arrange their own transport), a bag drop at registration with bags transported to the finish, and live chip timing provided by Timing Up North. Well-stocked feed stations are located at Low Newton, Boulmer and Warkworth Beach for the 54 km, and at Warkworth Beach for the 27 km.
Mandatory kit requires a backpack with water or fluids, a charged mobile phone with emergency contacts, food or gels, a headtorch if finishing after 4:30pm, and a lightweight jacket. There is a strict cut off at 18:00 and runners who do not reach the final feed station by 16:30 will not be allowed to continue for safety reasons.
Finishers receive a metal event medal, an exclusive T-shirt, and snacks and drinks. Car parking at Druridge Bay is payable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
