About the race
Dragon Coastal Races are three coastal ultramarathons held 31 July to 1 August 2027 at the Norwegian Church, Cardiff Bay, Wales (CF10 4PT). The event is organised by Run Walk Crawl.
Distances offered include:
- Dragon 100 Mile
- Dragon 50 Mile
- Dragon 50km
The courses use sections of the Wales Coast Path and all finish at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay. The route passes Rhossili Bay, the sands of Kenfig, the dunes at Merthyr Mawr, the cliffs of the Vale Heritage Coast, and the Cardiff Bay Barrage. Some sections run through Afan Forest. Terrain includes dunes, shifting shingle, runnable trails and long climbs, and parts of the route include night running.
Standard entry fees listed for the event are: Dragon 100 Mile £180.00 plus a £11.22 booking fee, Dragon 50 Mile £90.00 plus a £5.82 booking fee, and Dragon 50km £55.00 plus a £3.72 booking fee.
Ticketing rules include refund and credit options with percentage deductions by specific deadlines. Transfers and substitutions are allowed for a £5.00 fee up to 17 July 2027. An instalment plan is available with an additional fee of 1% plus £0.50 for each instalment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
