The Divide 200
The Divide 200 is an ultramarathon held in the Castle-Crowsnest region of the southern Rocky Mountains in Alberta, scheduled for August 16-20, 2027. The event is offered in multiple formats and lists the following distances:

The route highlights sections of the Great Divide Trail and follows portions of the Continental Divide through varied alpine terrain. The course includes all trail types and some off-trail travel, with basic route finding required in places. Checkpoints (aid stations) are located approximately every 20 to 40 km.
The event is intended for participants with significant race and alpine experience. The race field is capped so that a maximum of 100 competitors can be on the course at the same time. Relay teams run the same route as the 200-mile solo field and may exchange at specific support-accessible checkpoints (CP3, CP4, CP6, CP7, CP9, CP10, CP13). Pacers are permitted on select sections.
Support and services include preprogrammed satellite trackers (Garmin inReach provided), staffed aid stations with a variety of food and designated sleeping areas at major stations, professional medical standby, and Search and Rescue standby. A pre-race welcome dinner and a post-race awards dinner are included for certain categories. The 200-mile podium carries a cash purse for top three female and male finishers, with prizes specified in Canadian dollars. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
