About the race
The Chiggy Ultra is a multi-distance trail event at Cape Chignecto Provincial Park near Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, held on October 3, 2026. The organiser describes the park as noted for its scenery and for steep vertical gain on mostly single track technical trails. The course at Cape Chignecto includes McGahey Canyon trail and a counterclockwise route around the cape, and runners should expect muddy sections and technical terrain.
The event information lists the following distances:
- The Rockhammer: about 9 km on hilly trail
- One Loop: about 51 km, includes McGahey Canyon and three aid stations
- Two Loops: about 102 km
- Three Loops: about 153 km, listed as sold out and includes a finishing buckle
The organiser states vertical gain of 2200 m per loop. Aid stations will be closed by Sunday afternoon and participants still on course after that will be managed case by case. The event page shows 189 participants listed.
