The Charmian Interest Link Challenge 2027
The event takes place on 24 April 2027 at The Haining in Selkirk (TD7 5LR). It offers a competitive trail run and a scenic, accessible walk that pass through countryside and around the loch.
Distances:
- 5k Trail Run on rough paths
- 2k / 4k Fun Walk circling the loch
Entry is £10 per runner and £6 per walker, bookable through EntryCentral until 23 April 2027. On-the-day registration is available. Parking at the event is limited; the free West Port Car Park near Selkirk Square is a short walk to The Haining (about a six-minute walk).
The routes will be signposted and marshalled. Refreshments and accessible toilets will be provided, and water bottles can be refilled. All participants will receive a biscuit medal. Fundraising activities include a tombola and the sale of Interest Link merchandise such as T-shirts and hats; donations are also accepted.
The event is organised by Interest Link Borders and is named in memory of a long-serving director and supporter to acknowledge their dedication to the organisation and its work with people with learning disabilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
