The Castle Chase
The Castle Chase is described as the Island’s only lunchtime beach trail run for a cause, scheduled for 11 September 2026 at Elizabeth Castle. The event is organised as a relay race with teams of two racing across the sand from the shore at West Park out to Elizabeth Castle and back at low tide.
Teams run over terrain that includes sand, rocks and other natural obstacles. Each participant covers approximately two miles (approx) per person as part of the relay course. The race takes place across the exposed foreshore when the tide is low.
Entry information and requirements are stated as follows: the entry fee is £30 per team of two. The event is kindly sponsored by TMF Group. Participation supports Jersey Heritage and the organisation’s charitable work to protect the Island’s history. Entrants must be aged over 18 years and be in good health. Competitors are advised that the route includes natural hazards; full terms and conditions apply.
