The Bulldog Ultra
The Bulldog Ultra is a trail running event in Calabasas, California, organized by SoCalTrail and scheduled for August 15, 2026 at Malibu Creek State Park. The event offers two distances and is part of the Bulldog Challenge Series.
- 50k Ultra Trail 29.4 miles, 5,511 ft of climbing
- 25k Trail 14.8 miles, 2,783 ft of climbing
The courses run on single track and fire roads through the Santa Monica Mountains with ocean views from portions of the route. Terrain includes long steep climbs and canyon sections where temperatures can be high. Both distances use fully stocked aid stations at multiple mile markers. The 50k includes a second loop with a staffed aid station that accommodates drop bags and pacers.
Awards include overall podium places for women, men and non-binary categories, age group awards, a stated prize purse for the 50k, and a course record bonus for the 25k. Series features include a limited edition Bulldog Challenge jacket for series finishers and points-based series standings.
