The Beav Trail Race 2026
The Beav Trail Race takes place at Hilton Falls Conservation Area in Milton, Ontario. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and supports MedVents, the first aid team that provides services at the races.
Distances
- 10 km out-and-back on groomed trails to the waterfall, includes a short technical Bruce Trail section
- 25 km loop via Beaver Dam Trail with single and double track, plus technical sections
- 50 km two loops of the 25 km course with a 9 hour cutoff
The 25 km loop leaves Hilton Falls and uses Halton Region trails (Britton Tract and Robertson Tract) for roughly 8 km to 16 km of the 25 km loop. Participants in the 25 km and 50 km races must sign an additional waiver to use Halton Region property; the waiver is provided at race kit pick-up.
Aid stations are planned as follows: the 10 km has a drinks and s'mores station at 5 km; the 25 km has stations at 5 km (drink/s'mores), 8 km (full), 17 km (full) and 20 km (drink); the 50 km follows the 25 km plan run twice with an additional aid at 25 km (start/finish). Aid supplies typically include water, electrolyte drink, PB&J and sweet and salty snacks. All events are cup-less; participants must bring a collapsible cup or bottle.
Pacers are not permitted except for participants over 65 who may have a pacer. Apparel: a custom hoodie is included for 25 km and 50 km registrants; 10 km participants receive a t-shirt with an upgrade option. Finishers receive a custom medal and prizes are awarded to the top three in each distance.
The organizer offers a 100% race credit for cancellations made more than 30 days before the event. Transfers of bibs to another participant are allowed up to five days before the race. There is no waitlist for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
