The Beav Trail Race 2026
The event takes place on November 7, 2026 at Hilton Falls Conservation Area in Milton, Ontario. It is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and supports MedVents, which provides first aid services at the races. La Sportiva will attend with a demo fleet of shoes and will give away two pairs.
Distances offered:
- 10 km out-and-back
- 25 km loop
- 50 km two laps of the 25 km loop
The course is mostly fast, groomed trails with some short, tougher technical sections. The 25 km loop leaves Hilton Falls and enters Halton Region property roughly between 8 km and 16 km, including use of the Britton Tract and Robertson Tract; participants in the 25 km and 50 km events must sign an additional waiver at race kit pick-up. The 10 km runs around the reservoir to the waterfall, includes a short technical section on the Bruce Trail, and requires runners to descend stairs to the base of the falls to collect a small pin before returning.
The 50 km is two laps of the 25 km course and has a 9 hour cutoff; participants planning longer efforts are advised to carry a headlamp. Planned aid stations vary by distance and include water, electrolyte drink, PB & J, and sweet and salty snacks; the 10 km has a drinks and s'mores stop at 5 km. The event is cup-less so each runner must bring a collapsible cup or bottle. Pacers are not permitted except for participants over 65. Apparel and awards: 25 km and 50 km registrations include a custom hoodie, 10 km participants receive a t-shirt with an upgrade option, all finishers receive a finisher medal, and prizes are awarded to the top three in each distance. The refund policy offers a 100% race credit for cancellations made at least 30 days before the race; bib transfers are allowed up to 5 days before the event.
