The Awa Backyard Ultra & Backyard 6
The Awa Backyard Ultra and Backyard 6 are running events held at That Place Mountain Bike Park, 1021 Kaiwhaiki Road, Whanganui, New Zealand on 26 September 2026. Both formats use a repeated lap of 6.7 km where a new lap starts on the hour.
The Backyard Ultra continues with one 6.7 km lap every hour until only one runner remains. The Backyard 6 follows the same hourly lap format but finishes after six hours. Entries are individual with separate adult and youth categories for the Backyard 6.
Registration closes on 11 September 2026. Available entry places are listed as 300 remaining at the time of the event information. Price ranges published for entries are:
- Backyard Ultra: from $250 to $300 plus fees.
- Backyard 6 Individual Adult: from $120 to $140 plus fees.
- Backyard 6 Individual Youth: from $100 to $120 plus fees.
