Wilson Gobble Wobble
The Wilson Gobble Wobble is the 10th annual Thanksgiving morning event hosted by The Arc of Wilson County. It features a 5K run and a 1 mile family run, walk, or wobble and is open to participants of all ages and abilities. The event gathers at the J. Burt Gillette Athletic Complex and participants proceed to their respective routes and tracks.
The course is an uneven outdoor dirt surface. The 5K and 1 mile routes are mapped for participants. Packet pickup is handled at The Arc of Wilson County office on November 24, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Limited-edition hoodies and shirts are available to order for the event.
The Gobble Wobble serves as the primary annual fundraiser for The Arc of Wilson County. Proceeds from registration fees, sponsorships, and donations support the organization’s programs and services, including efforts to promote inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, weekly social programs for children, a summer day camp called Camp Sunshine, and social opportunities for adults. The Arc also conducts advocacy work to protect the human rights of people with I/DD and to build a more supportive community.
