Somers Track & Field Booster Club 8th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot
The event takes place on 11/26/2026 at Somers High School, 120 Primrose Street, Rt. 139, Somers, NY 10540. It is organized by the Somers Track & Field Booster Club and is presented as the eighth annual edition.
Distances offered:
- 5K - off-road trail race; registration fee $35
- 1 Mile - fun run/walk; registration fee $15
Registration opens 8/23/2026 and closes 10/30/2026. The registration fee includes medals for all participants. A Turkey Trot tee shirt is guaranteed for the first 250 5K registrants; shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after 10/28/25. Youth and adult shirts are also available for purchase.
Group registration for the 5K of four or more receives a $10 discount per group. Awards are presented to the top three males and top three females in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. An awards ceremony follows the race.
Packet pickup is scheduled at 3 Verona Place, Mahopac (Lake Lincolndale), NY 10541 on Sunday 11/22 (12pm-4pm) and Monday 11/23 (5pm-8pm). Limited packet pickup is available on race day on site.
Dogs are not allowed on school grounds and strollers are not allowed on the off-road course for safety reasons. Reasonable COVID-19 precautions will be taken and the event may transition to a virtual format if required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
