Tempo Summer 5K Series
The Tempo Summer 5K Series comprises three separate 5K road or mixed-surface races held on Thursday evenings across May, June and July 2027. Each race uses a different location in the Stratford-upon-Avon area and runners may enter individual races or the complete series.
Race 1 in Tysoe is the flattest course and runs on road as an out-and-back route between Tysoe and Oxhill. Race 2 in Pebworth is a circular road route that heads out on Long Marsden Road toward Dorsington and returns on Dorsington Road; this race will have a full road closure. Race 3 is based at a private estate near Stratford-upon-Avon and combines road and trail surfaces, with a different start location for 2027 beginning near the Main House. Road closures for the first two races are subject to permissions.
Entry fees are listed as £24 for UKA club affiliated runners and £26 for non-affiliated runners; a reduced combined rate is available for entering all three races. Each race has a limit of 250 entrants and numbers are collected on race day; the same race number is used for multiple entries. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers on gun time. Runners who complete all three races receive a series T-shirt and the best placed male and female across all races receive a series trophy.
Facilities and rules: unmanned gazebos will be provided for baggage, toilets are available at each venue, there are no water stations on course, and only bone conduction sports headphones are permitted on open roads. Withdrawal and transfer rules apply, including a refund less a £2 admin fee up to six weeks before a race, and options if a race is cancelled.
