Témis Ultra-Trail du Témiscamingue
The Témis Ultra-Trail takes place at Parc national d’Opémican in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The event uses marked, secured and timed trail routes through forests, cliffs and lakes including Témiscamingue and Kipawa. It is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The event offers multiple distances with age rules and water-autonomy requirements for longer races:
- 1 km: 12 years and under, walk and run, low elevation
- 5 km: 6 years and older, walk and run
- 10 km: 16 years and older, run only
- 21 km: 18 years and older, run only, be autonomous for water
- 50 km: 18 years and older, run only, be autonomous for water
Courses include water points for all distances, aid stations on select distances, and kilometer markers. Parking is included in the registration fee and a shuttle service will transport runners to the start area. On-site services include a snack, changing area and toilets.
Age-category podiums for men and women are presented for each distance except the 1 km. Participation medals are given to all 1 km entrants. The event is part of a championship that allows accumulation of points on specific distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
