Teanaway Country 100M/50M/50K

Teanaway Country is an alpine ultratrail event in the Cascade Mountain Range near Cle Elum, Washington, held September 19 and 20, 2026. The race takes place on U.S. Forest Service land and uses rugged, remote mountain trails with rocky, rough terrain, long steep climbs, and variable high‑mountain weather. Rescue may require many hours in some locations.

Distances offered:

  • 100 miles : Out and back, 31,000 ft gain and 31,000 ft loss, 12 aid stations.
  • 50 miles : Point to point, 16,000 ft gain and 15,000 ft loss, 6 aid stations.
  • 50 kilometers : Lollipop route, 11,000 ft gain and 11,000 ft loss, 3 aid stations.

Aid stations are on average 8+ miles apart with a maximum gap of 10.6 miles; the 100 milers pass stations twice. Full service aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, snacks and hot items; some stations allow drop bags and crew access. Vehicles at the event require a Northwest Forest Pass.

All participants must carry required safety gear including a pack or running vest, minimum 30 ounces of water (organizers recommend 40 ounces), emergency blanket or bivy, waterproof jacket, and headlamp. Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. The 100 mile race requires qualifying prior race distance and documented trail work or a donation in the 12 months prior. Aid station cutoff times are enforced; finish times may be recorded for runners who meet aid station cutoffs even if they arrive after the official finish cutoff.
