Tanúhegyek Trail
The Tanúhegyek Trail is a trail running competition organized by the Terepfutó Műhely Sportegyesület. Located within the Balaton-felvidék National Park, the event takes place in an area known for its volcanic witness hills and views of Lake Balaton. The race starts and finishes at the Halászkert in Badacsonytomaj.
Participants can choose from different distances based on the number of witness hills they wish to summit. Depending on the selected route, runners cross either one, three, or five hills. The event includes the following distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- Minimarathon (7 km)
The 7 km Minimarathon distance includes a dedicated category for runners participating with dogs. The event serves as a charitable occasion where participants have the option to donate their timing chip deposit fee to support the Ürömi Animal Home. The course traverses natural terrain, showcasing the autumn scenery of the Balaton-felvidék region.
Registration for the event is managed through an active online system. Local partners, including regional wineries and hotels, support the competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
