About the race
The event is a community 5K organized by Cody Regional Health in partnership with Wyo Hoofbeats to raise funds for the Wyo Hoofbeats animal therapy program. The course follows a combination of residential streets and trails that run alongside the Shoshone River, offering views of the surrounding mountains. The route is described as flat and fast for runners, while walkers and participants with dogs can take a more relaxed, scenic pace. Registration opens March 15, 2027.
Early registration is priced at $35 and late registration is $40 on race morning. Registration fees include an event t-shirt and a swag bag with assorted items. Packet pick up is available the day before the event on Friday, August 6, 2027 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Cody Regional Health, Monument Entrance, 707 Sheridan Avenue, Cody, WY 82414.
Race day packet pick up begins at 7:00 AM at the same Monument Entrance location. The event description notes that runners, casual walkers, and people walking with dogs are welcome and that the purpose is to raise funds and promote the animal therapy program at Cody Regional Health.
