The Tadworth10

The Tadworth10 is a long-established road and trail race now in its 44th year. The main event is a 10 mile two-lap course across Epsom Downs, Tadworth and Walton on the Hill, with the route described as 60% trail and 40% road. A new 10k option follows the first lap with a short loop back to the finish. The event typically attracts around 700 runners and uses the Duchess Stand at Epsom Racecourse for race HQ and facilities.

Distances

  • 10 mile two laps, 60% trail 40% road
  • 10k one lap plus a short finishing loop

Race facilities include a warm race HQ with free bag drop, proper flushing toilets and changing rooms, one free digital race photo per entry, post race massage, and a sustainable wooden finisher medal. Full pro chip timing is provided via Sports Systems and marshals from Tadworth Athletic Club support the course.

Prizes and fundraising are part of the event. The race offers over £1400 in prize money for category winners, age group awards and vouchers redeemable at Up&Running. Proceeds support local charities including the Woodland Trust, The Sunnybank Trust and the Epsom Wells Association; typical annual contributions range from £2,000 to £3,000 per charity. The race has been rated GOLD on Racecheck for 2023 to 2026 with a 4.8 out of 5 score. The 2014 course change reduced road running near Tattenham Corner and allowed use of the grandstand facilities.
