Summer Nuts Challenge : The Nuts Challenge

The Summer Nuts event on 29 August 2026 takes place on a permanent assault course set near Dorking in the Surrey countryside. The main route is a 7 km assault course that is maintained for year-round use.

The course contains over 100 natural and man-made obstacles. Examples of the terrain and features include mud trenches, water obstacles, trail running sections, walls, cargo nets, tunnels, crawling and climbing elements. The layout is updated periodically with new obstacle arrangements and additions.

The event accepts a variety of participant types: fun runners, teams, charities, corporate groups, bootcamps, workplaces, families and solo runners. Participants may choose how many laps to complete, with the following options:

  • One lap
  • Two laps
  • Limitless laps

The site emphasizes endurance, strength, stamina and teamwork as aspects of the activity. Multiple laps are offered without an extra charge. The course is operated year-round on a single professionally maintained site that makes use of natural terrain and permanent obstacles.
