Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run
The Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run is a mountain running event in Sexten/Sesto in the Sexten Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. The main course runs through the mountain world of the Drei Zinnen area and finishes at the Dreizinnenhütte / Rifugio Locatelli, with views of the Three Peaks.
The race course measures 17.9 km and includes 1,354 m of ascent. The route involves alpine trails and sections with significant altitude gain. The event attracts around 1,000 mountain runners from over 20 nations each year and records multiple years of finishers.
The weekend also includes a Mini Alpine Run for children and young people up to 18 years, traditionally held on Sunday. Related events listed alongside the Alpine Run include a Ski Raid and a Winter Night Run; the Winter Night Run route leads from the cross country trail near Hotel Waldheim toward Moos and the Fischleintal, briefly switching to a winter hiking path after a short climb.
