Springtide 50k
The Springtide 50k is a single-loop trail ultra of 50 km that starts and finishes in Arundel, West Sussex, with the event base at Arundel Football Club. The course runs through the South Downs and includes grass trails, farm tracks and forest paths, passing areas named Houghton Forest, Eartham Wood, Angmering Park and Wepham Woods, and returns along the River Arun.
The route is waymarked for navigation and is described as largely runnable and non-technical. Terrain is listed as 99% trail and 1% road, with around 3,200 ft of ascent and descent. There are four aid stations on course. The race is a UTMB Index event worth 2 ITRA points and uses chip timing with live GPS tracking; the entry fee includes a mandatory GPS tracker.
Minimum age to enter is 20 years and no qualifier is required. Entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis with a waitlist when full. The published entry fee is £78.00. Race services and inclusions listed by the organiser include a bespoke finisher medal, winner trophies, downloadable photos, prizes for male and female winners in veteran categories 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+, event insurance, and first aid and medical cover.
