Spring Georgetown Memorial 5K & Half
The Spring Georgetown Memorial 5K & Half takes place in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, DC. The event features two primary distances, both of which are held on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. This location offers a scenic route near the capital of the United States.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km
- Half marathon
The course is an out-and-back route consisting of a light gravel and dirt flat trail. There are minimal elevation changes throughout the run. The half marathon course includes seven water stations located at intervals between mile 1.55 and 11.55, while the 5 km course features one water station at approximately mile 1.55.
All registered runners receive a finisher's medal and a technical event shirt. The event is chip timed, and live results are provided online. Walkers are permitted to participate in these races. For those unable to attend the physical location, a virtual race option is available. The event benefits the charity Operation Turbo.
Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall, as well as the first and second-place finishers in various age categories ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over.
