Soul Crusher in Crystal Lake, IL
Soul Crusher is a trail running event on October 17, 2026 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event offers two distances:
- 10 Miler
- 5 Miler
The courses run on single track trails through Veteran Acres and Sternes Woods. The route is arranged as an approximate 5 mile loop with occasional bonus miles added on certain sections. Pink flags mark the race course and flags on the park paths guide runners to the start area. The start line is set within the park and participants should allow about a 30 minute walk from the main parking area to reach it. Parking is available at the main lot at 431 Walkup Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012.
Race logistics include a 3 hour 30 minute time cutoff and a cup less aid setup, so participants are asked to carry a water bottle or hydration vest. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at Ornery Mule Trailhead, 824 S. Main Street #102, and on race morning at Veteran Acres. The event has a rollover and partial credit policy for entries: rollover up to 70 days before the event, or 50 percent race credit if requested by 25 days before the event.
