Soul Crusher Trail Race
The Soul Crusher is an off-road running event held in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The race takes place within the forests of Veteran Acres and Sternes Woods, utilizing a network of single-track trails. The course is designed as a loop of approximately 5 miles, which participants navigate once or twice depending on their chosen distance.
Available distances include:
- 5 Miler
- 10 Miler
The course features a mix of terrain and may include additional mileage beyond the standard distances. The event is conducted as a cup-less race, requiring all participants to carry their own water bottle or hydration vest for hydration. There is a total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the course.
The start line is located in a central area of the park, approximately a 30-minute walk from the main parking area. Participants must follow yellow or pink directional flags to reach the starting location. Registration includes a race shirt and a skeleton-themed finisher medal for all distances. Packet pickup is available on the Friday evening before the race at a local storefront and on Saturday morning at the park.
