About the race
The SOO 200 is a trail ultramarathon scheduled for September 10–14, 2027 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The main event covers 200 mile, and additional race options share the venue at Stokely Creek Lodge.

The course runs through the Sault Ste. Marie region and crosses Canadian Shield terrain with coastal views. Surfaces include single track, double track, dirt roads, and sections of bushwhacking. The route includes steep climbs and sustained descents and has been updated for 2026 to include new areas alongside portions of the 2025 course.
Support and logistics for the event include satellite trackers for the 200 mile field and real time race tracking, well stocked aid stations, medical support, reflective course flagging and GPS files. The 200 mile entrants receive pre and post race meals, while the 100 mile, 100k and 50k entrants receive a post race meal with awards. The event offers professional event photography and complimentary photos for competitors.
Organizers list hosts and partners including the Algoma Highlands Conservancy and Stokely Creek. A contribution of $35 from each entry is directed to the Algoma Highlands Conservancy.
