Solstice at the Lakes

Solstice at the Lakes is a timed trail event held on the weekend of 19 and 20 June 2027 at Leybourne Lakes Country Park, Malling Rd, Snodland ME20 6JA. The event runs a fully marked 2.5 km lakeside loop used by all race categories.

Event formats include:

  • 24 Hour solo or relay for 2 to 4 participants
  • 12 Hour solo
  • 6 Hour Daylight solo
  • 6 Hour Twilight solo

The course combines smooth trail, gravel paths and tarmac to form a flat, runnable circuit. Each lap returns through the race village so participants remain close to their kit, support crew and the event hub.

The race village provides space for one tent or gazebo per participant or team, hot food, drinks, toilets and changing facilities, seating and a dedicated crew area. Medical support, professional chip timing and live lap updates are available throughout the event. An on-site café is open during the event and spectators are welcome.

Entries include chip timing and live lap updates, a finisher's medal for anyone who completes at least one full lap, full access to the race village, and awards for category winners.

Key rules include a minimum age of 20, visible race bibs, completing the course on foot, support only from the designated crew area, a cupless policy requiring a reusable cup, and the requirement to carry a suitable headtorch after dark. The race holds a permit from the Trail Running Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
