About the race
Smoky Mountain 24 Hour Challenge is a timed trail running event in Sevierville, Tennessee on October 17, 2026. The event is produced by East Coast Adventures in collaboration with Yeti Trail Runners and gathers runners on a short loop course in the foothills of the Smokies. The course is a 3 mile loop at 1005 Park Road, with the aid station located at the center of the loop so runners pass it every three miles. The central aid station provides snacks, hydration, and volunteer support; volunteers and crew have frequent access to runners and their gear during the event. Distances - 24 Hour Challenge: 24 hours on the 3 mile loop.
Registration $250. - 9 to 5 Challenge: 8 hour daylight challenge on the same 3 mile loop. Registration $150. The field is limited to 300 runners. Finishers receive a medal and a custom race T shirt.
Runners who reach 80 miles earn a Dolly themed belt buckle. The description notes that parts of the park and pavilion are closed for construction until late August, which affects access and media in that section. The event emphasizes repeated laps, community support on course, and an environment where runners can track distance and encourage one another lap after lap.
