About the race
2026 SMOC Blast Corn Maze O on October 25, 2026 is an orienteering event held at Nixon Farms. The event uses a corn maze and some surrounding grounds with printed maps at a scale of 1:1000 on 11x17 paper. Registration is per person for everyone aged 5 years and older; children aged 4 and under are free with a paid adult. The listed per-person fee covers the farm group rate and no member discounts apply for this special event.
Team leaders may select their course; additional team members should register as Teammate Short or Teammate Long. Wristband entry includes access to the corn maze, a hayride, most farm activities except the corn cannon, plus one donut and free cider per person. Food, beverages, pumpkins, craft items and produce are priced separately. Pets are not allowed on the property.
Nixon Farms operates on a cash only basis and an ATM is available onsite. Onsite parking is in the main grass fenced lots; participants check in at the entrance ticket window for a wristband and should mention SMOC. There are two porta potties located at the end of the barn west of the S/F check in. Surface inside the maze is dirt and paths can be somewhat soft; street shoes are generally adequate but more aggressive shoes or spikes may be preferred.
Two course options are offered: - Short Course: 23 CP, approx 3.6 km, one pass through maze - Long Course: 26 CP, approx 6.4 km, two passes through maze. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
