Skunk Ape 100 Mile Endurance Run
The Skunk Ape 100 Mile Endurance Run is a trail ultramarathon held on April 24–25, 2027 in Ocala, Florida, on the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway. The event uses the Santos Trailhead and features natural terrain including sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods, longleaf pines, lakes, ponds, prairie and riverine hardwoods.

The course is roughly a 50 mile out-and-back on the Florida National Scenic Trail and paved paths; 100 mile entrants complete the loop twice. Trail surfaces include single track, sand, roots, short climbs and paved sections. Total elevation gain is listed as 1,562 feet for the 50 mile loop; the 100 mile distance covers double that.
Aid stations, staffed or unstaffed, are stocked with a variety of food, drink and basic supplies including soda, electrolyte powder, energy gels, fruit, snacks, bandages and hygiene products. Drop bags are collected at the start and are allowed at designated aid stations; 100 mile runners have a third drop bag location. All aid stations allow crew access.
Pacing rules differ by distance: pacers are not permitted for the 50 mile except for specified exceptions; pacers may join 100 mile runners after the first 50 miles. The event uses a 36 hour overall cut off for both courses and includes intermediate cut-off points along the route.
