Sidlaw Ultra 2027
Sidlaw Ultra is a winter trail ultramarathon of 69 km across the Sidlaw hills in Angus, Scotland. The route starts at Glamis Castle and finishes inside Scone Palace, with the course following a point-to-point line through the Sidlaws.
The winter route is fully signposted and supported, with checkpoints stationed at roughly every 20 km. The event includes organized logistics such as event bus transport to the start area and a checkpoint bag drop service. Timing is handled with chip timing and live tracking, and an experienced medical support team operates on course.
The organiser, Wee Run Events, offers flexible entry options including one-year deferrals available up to four weeks before the event, plus specific deferral support for pregnancy and adoption. Registered runners receive event extras such as a bespoke finisher medal, checkpoint food provided by Starfish Cakes, and a warm meal voucher at the finish.
