Shannon Trail Series
The Shannon Trail Series is a three race trail series in San Angelo, Texas that runs from January 16 to February 20, 2027. Races take place at three venues: Middle Concho Park, Twin Buttes Reservoir (Twin Buttes Boat Ramp), and San Angelo State Park at the Chaparral Pavilion. The series offers short and long course options across the three dates.
Distances by race:
- Race 1: 5K or 10K at Middle Concho Park
- Race 2: 5K or 12K at Twin Buttes Boat Ramp
- Race 3: 5K or 15K at San Angelo State Park
Races are chip timed and awards use gun time for scoring. Finisher medals are given at the finish line on race day only. All series awards and age group awards are presented after the third race; there are no awards at race one or race two. Series scoring is based on the total time from all three races and age group award eligibility requires finishing all three races on the same course, either short or long.
Packet pickup is available at an evening location at SoCo Taphouse and is also offered on race mornings. Walkers are welcome. Pets and strollers are not permitted on the race course because of trail conditions and insurance restrictions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
