50th Sevenoaks Circular
The Sevenoaks Circular is an organised long-distance walking event run by the Kent LDWA group around West Kent. The event uses a school site for the event base and parking and includes indoor checkpoints and catered finish arrangements.
Distances offered:
- 30 miles with 4200 ft of ascent and an 11 hour completion requirement
- 20 miles
- 14 miles
The event base is West Heath School, Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks TN13 1SR (GR TQ526529); participants should park in the school car park as directed by marshals. All checkpoints are indoors and provide tea, coffee and cold snacks; hot food is available at the finish. The entry fee includes refreshments at the start and checkpoints and hot food at the finish; £1.50 of each entry fee is donated to the school. A certificate is issued to finishers who complete their route within the allowed time.
Entry is limited to 225 places. Entries open on 1 October 2026 and there are no entries on the day. Dogs are not permitted due to school ground rules. Entrants must carry a printed route description, maps and a compass; a torch is required if finishing after 17:00. OS Explorer 147 covers the area. Route descriptions and GPX files will be available from the Kent Group webpage one week before the event. Kent group mugs will be available to buy but entrants should carry their own mug.
