13th Annual Seize the Day - London
The event is a fundraiser organized by Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario at Graham Family Eco Park in Arva, Ontario on September 27, 2026. Funds raised support programs and services for people living with epilepsy, their families, and communities across Southwestern Ontario.
Participants can take part in person or virtually. In-person offerings include a 5 km run and a 2.5 km walk. The 2.5 km walkers complete two laps of the trail and 5 km runners complete four laps. Portable washrooms will be available on site. After the run and walk there is a BBQ and prize activities.
Virtual participants may complete their chosen distance from any location and may walk, run, or use a wheelchair or stroller. Virtual entries have a multi-day window to finish the distance and submit results. Virtual participation is free, and in-person participation is free for children under 12. Offline pledge forms and donations by cash or cheque are accepted; cheques should be made payable to Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario.
The event provides resources for participants including a downloadable participant certificate, an "I’m Walking For" sign, beginner 5K training guidance, fundraising tips, and a social media toolkit.
