Scurry Around Tentsmuir Forest Trail running festival, 1 Nov 2026
Scurry Events stages a mixed terrain trail running festival at the Larick Centre in Tayport, DD6 9EA, using one-lap off road courses through and around Tentsmuir Forest. Routes are clearly signposted and marshalled. Parking is limited at the Larick Centre with additional parking on the grassy area off Links Road North; competitors are responsible for their vehicles and belongings. Race numbers are issued at registration.
Distances offered include:
- Half marathon mixed terrain one lap
- 10 km trail one lap
- 5 km trail one lap
- 5 km juniors 11 to 15
- 1.2 km family fun trail
All half marathon, 10 km and 5 km finishers receive a medal and a race memento. All children in the fun run receive a medal and snacks. Proceeds from the 1.2 km fun run will be donated to the Tayport Community Trust and Larick Centre. Active Root will supply a ginger sports drink and there will be water and bananas at the finish; an aid station is placed on the half marathon route.
Safety information notes uneven surfaces including tracks through woods, sand, grass, tarmac and mud. Earphones are prohibited. The half marathon is not suitable for pushchairs or dogs; run buggies are permitted on the 10 km, 5 km and fun run courses. First aid teams will be available at start and finish areas and midway on the half marathon route. Results will be published online and timing may use a photo beam finish rather than chip timing.
