SciaccheTrail 2027 : Cinque Terre Ultra Trail
SciaccheTrail is a trail-running event in the Cinque Terre area. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 19, 20 and 21 March 2027 and will offer a single official distance: the classic 47 km route.
Entry for the 47 km in 2027 is managed through a pre-registration lottery. Pre-registration opens on 1 September and closes on 31 October; 300 race places are available and the lottery draw is set for 7 November. The organisation also issues wild cards to athletes who meet specified ITRA/UTMB score criteria; requests for wild cards must be submitted after 1 December 2026 and before 1 February 2027.
SciaccheTrail is listed with ITRA and appears on UTMB index categories for 50K and 100K. The event is organised by a network of local associations and Pro Loco groups, with patronage and support from regional and municipal authorities including Regione Liguria and the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre. Local wineries, technical sponsors and volunteer and rescue associations collaborate with the organisers.
The organisers document and maintain the park trail network, including recently restored staircases and lesser-known paths that connect sections of the SciaccheTrail loop and reflect local agricultural heritage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
