About the race
The 58th Schwarzwald-Marathon takes place in Bräunlingen on 10 and 11 October 2026. The event is described as the world’s oldest nature and women’s marathon and has been held since 1968. It was founded by SV Donaueschingen and TuS Bräunlingen and traditionally occurs on the second weekend in October. The weekend program comprises a range of race formats and distances, from long distances to short and children's runs.
Event organization is provided by LSG Schwarzwald-Marathon e.V. Results, photos and a program are maintained for recent years. Distances and formats offered include: - Marathon - Relay marathon - Half marathon - 10 km race - 5 km race - 1.05 km and 1.75 km school runs - Bambini run An official Schwarzwald-Marathon app is available for iPhone and Android devices. The event lists sponsors and partners and publishes results and photo galleries from past editions.
