About the race
The Scary Dairy Inaugural Community Race is scheduled for September 6, 2026, at University Regional Park near the historic Scary Dairy in Camarillo, California. The event is a high school cross country fundraiser; proceeds support student-athletes by covering race entry fees, team transportation, and other program needs.
The course is located near the beaches of Ventura County and is described as benefiting from ocean-cooled temperatures. The layout is a spectator-friendly two-loop course on an all-dirt trail that is generally flat with subtle elevation changes. The route begins and ends at the Scary Dairy and is designed to allow spectators to see runners more than once.
Event logistics include official chip timing for electronically recorded finish times, an ultra-wide 60-yard starting line, nearby parking, and continuous shuttle service from the main campus.
Registration opens August 20, 2026 and closes September 2, 2026. The registration fee is $20.00. The listed race distance is 3 Miles for the Open Race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
