About the race
Sardinia Trail is an ultra trail stage race held in Sardinia. The event consists of three stages over three separate days and covers a total of 100 km with about 4,000 m of positive elevation gain. The stages take place in distinct locations and traverse mountain and coastal landscapes.
The route passes through the municipalities of Arzana, Cardedu, Desulo, Gairo, Urzulei and Tertenia and reaches areas of the Gennargentu massif and the beaches of Ogliastra. The race description also refers to mountains of Barbagia and the Supramonte di Urzulei.
Stage distances:
- Stage 1: 25.09 km
- Stage 2: 40.9 km
- Stage 3: 33.7 km
Participation requires a USIP/FIDAL membership card. The published entry fees are €200 until 31 December 2025, €250 until 1 May 2026 and €300 until 4 May 2026; registrations close when the 100th entrant is reached. The entry fee includes a race pack, on-course assistance and refreshment stations for all three stages, a pasta party after each stage, a finisher medal and the Sardinia Trail 2026 shirt.
Additional paid services listed include a shuttle for the stages (€50 for three days) with transfers linked to Resort Perdepera, partner hotel nights, ferry conventions with Grimaldi Lines and massage services.
