Mt Buller Sky Run is a multi-distance trail running event centered on Mount Buller Village. Courses traverse alpine ridge lines, snow gum forests and mountain terrain in Victoria's High Country, with a range of distances and notable elevation change.
Race distances:
- 45 km with 2,400 m elevation gain and age minimum 18 years.
- 36 km with 1,750 m elevation gain and age minimum 18 years.
- 22 km with 1,050 m elevation gain and age minimum 16 years.
- 5 km with 250 m elevation gain and age minimum 5 years.
- Kids Trail 2 km with 120 m elevation gain, maximum age 12 years; parents may accompany.
The 45 km course starts and finishes at the Village Square and is described in five stages that include Mt Stirling, Craig's Hut, the Delatite River with multiple river crossings on log bridges, Mirimbah Park, and the Mount Buller summit and village. Aid stations and checkpoints are listed for various distances; examples include Mt Stirling and Mirimbah Park where water, snacks and first aid are available.
