Running with the Dogs
Running with the Dogs is a community event on 10/10/2026 at the Dudley Road entrance of the Creekside Trail in Kilgore, Texas. The event features a main 5K fun run, a kids 1K for ages 3 through 5th grade, and a non-running "Sleep in Supporter" option that includes a swag bag and a t-shirt.
The program includes a post-event Creekside party and an onsite DJ. Students and local athletes will provide support along the route. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9 at MDT Fit, 1610 N US 259, with additional pickup available on event day.

- 1K for kids ages 3 to 5th grade
Entry fees in the source material include a $30 fee for the 5K, $12 for the kids 1K, and a $20 Sleep in Supporter option. Participants may purchase additional shirts during registration; participants who register after September 25 are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the kids race winners. Proceeds benefit the Kilgore Independent School District Education Foundation, which supports district-wide programs and activities. Pets are not allowed at the event.
