Run with the Cops 5K : Minocqua, WI
The Minocqua Professional Police Association (MPPA) hosts a community 5K run and walk at Torpy Park in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The event uses an out and back course on the Bearskin Trail with the Bearskin Trestle as the start and finish location. The 5K is a timed run/walk.
Proceeds support the MPPA, a nonprofit association that funds local programs including the Shop-with-a-Cop program, assistance for families in need, and sponsorship of school baseball teams. The association intends the event to foster relationships between local police and community members.
A cops and robbers theme will be featured and participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Day of registration and packet pick-up are available at Torpy Park. Entry conditions note that participants aged 12 and under register for free while a fee applies for participants aged 13 and older; pricing varies by registration period.
