Born to be Wild
Born to be Wild is a fundraising running event on December 12, 2026 at McGuffey Nature Center at the Coweta County Fairgrounds in Newnan, Georgia. The event is organized by Sole Roots Racing, Coweta County, and the Southern Conservation Trust to support conservation advocacy, land conservation, and wildlife protection in the local community.

- 5K
- 10K
The 5K and 10K courses are hybrid routes with approximately 75% road and 25% trail pathway; the 10K is two laps of the 5K course. The trail section is described as suitable for all abilities, but strollers must be running strollers if used.
Registration opens August 18, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by event: 5K and 10K registration closes October 25, 2026, while Fun Run registration remains open until the event day, December 12, 2026. Registration fees in the source text are $20 for the Fun Run, $35 for the 5K, and $45 for the 10K. Participants who register by November 21, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt; each registered child may choose either a Flint the otter plushie or an event T-shirt.
Race day includes parking and packet pickup. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in these age groups: 10 & under; 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+; plus Masters 40+.
